The portable radio receiver, ITT Schaub-Lorenz RX75 Professional suitcase receiver, dates back to 1975/1976 and features a unique single-knob tuning without switching. It includes separate FM and AM instrument scales and a near and far switch for AM.
The device is presented in a sleek black design and was sold through Weltfunk during the 1975 radio exhibition. Manufactured by ITT Schaub Lorenz in Germany, the model is identified as RX75 Professional 5233 01 75, covering medium wave and FM (UKW) bands. The scale can be illuminated at the push of a button. Slight signs of age and wear, a small piece on the bottom broke and its old owner fix it. You can check the last 2 photos. It operates on both mains and battery power (220V / R14: 3 x 1.5 Volt). Equipped with a dynamic oval speaker delivering 1.2 W, it is housed in a plastic (non-Bakelite) and thermoplastic casing. The dimensions are 185 x 185 x 60 mm, with a net weight of 1.3 kg.
