Winters can be very long in central Europe. Especially in the cities, where pollution and gentrification make impossible the idyllic landscapes that we all imagine when we think of postcard winters. Tell that to someone like me, a girl from southern Europe whose mother dressed her in 20 layers of clothing when temperatures dropped below 10 degrees and who traveled 4 hours by car to be able to step into a white puddle that was called "snow".

In places like Austria, the cold starts in October and doesn't go away until March or April. That makes winter tourism almost more important than summer tourism. Especially the national. Austrians love to travel to the mountains, enjoy the snow, walk, relax in the thermal baths... Austrians love traditions because they make them feel safe. As they always say, if things work, why change them. Winter shelters are a paradise for all of us who love vintage objects and designs. Looks like the decor hasn't changed much in decades up there. That's why Austria is a great place to rescue vintage treasures. Austrians don't get rid of anything!

The lobby of an empty hotel, the diaphanous canteen of a mountain cabin, any hotel out of season. What happens when a hotel closes its doors and falls fallow, like farmland waiting to be inhabited again? We have asked ourselves the same question, and we have traveled to one of these places to photograph our new winter editorial, which translated from German means: "Left exit". The objects that appear in the photos will soon be available in our store. Stay tuned to our Instagram...
